Humulus lupulus extravaganza!

Cloudy light amber liquid, with a huge white head that clings to the glass. Grassy hops both in the aroma and the flavor.

750ml Bottle (Thanks Bryne) - Hazy copper in colour. Pine, caramel, peach and apricot in the aroma. Tangy, hoppy and fruity taste with grapefruit, raisins, peach and dried apricot detected. Pleasant and easy to drink.

My Bottom Line:
Diacetly and caramelized sugars thwart what could have been pleasant resinous hops in this handicapped IPA.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the murky amber.
-Some hop earthiness is found alongside the plentiful conifers.
-The aroma on this one is far from that of a West Coast IPA’s.
-Cereal flavors are found within.
-Another Kinn brew that is massively below my expectations. Better luck next time I’m in Norway, I guess!

75 cl bottle Lots of hops in the aroma. It’s an unclear dark orange beer with a brownish head. Hopbitter is what’s in the taste. Liquorice sticks in the aftertaste. Medium carbonated.

Thanks to Palme for that one! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Wonderful hoppy aroma. Starts intense hoppy, flowery-grasy notes, mild bitter background. Fruity hints of grapefruit and lemon. Finish woody-hoppy, well balanced, quite drinkable. A great IPA!

This is one of Norway’s tiny select group of perfect beers in my opinion. I would probably say that this is either in my top 3 or top 5 of Norwegian beers and one of the best IPA’s I know of. A monster of a beer sold in a hefty big bottle, the hops are going to thrill you! In addition the malt and yeast character works so perfect along with a seemingly hefty 7% ABV (it actually surprises me it isn’t stronger, as it almost pretends to be) come together so seamlessly it surprised the hell out of me the first time I tried it. Kinn is a national Norwegian treasure. Almost makes me proud to be a citizen of this country.

Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a very large off-white foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma consists of powerful citrus notes with light floral undertones. Taste is dominated by citrus hoppy notes with some lightly sweet caramel malt with some nice floral undertones and some very well balanced bitterness. Body is quite full for style with good carbonation. Nice hops punch with well-balanced bitterness makes for a good IPA but I could have done with less sweet caramel malt.

Dense off white to tan head, somewhat hazy dark amber body. Nose; whole pine forest in a rain of grapefruit peel, and toffee malts after that. Fruity resin style in taste, grapefruit, hints of ananas, herby fresh and heavy. Home made feel in somewhat smokey style, assumably yeast. Very much to palate, modest carbonation, well bodied, heavy tasteful stuff to drink. Finish is resin, pine, citrus peel, some warmth, lingering. Overall this IPA tastes strongly, almost as imperial IPA. - Brown 75cl bottle abv7% #506 BBf11/2015 b@Vinmonopolet Langnes Tromsø. I would like to recommend smaller bottles.

Grumsete orangebrun farge. Lukter godt og mye humle, og også grapefrukt. Medium fylde og passe karbonert og har en fin, fin avslutning med bitter god lang ettersmak. Dette var en ordentlig god ipa. lenge siden sist!

Unclear amber. Off-white head. Aroma of American hops, lime, grape fruit and pine needles. Similar taste, balanced with malt sweetness. Moderate bitterness.
