Fondly known as “Yellowcap”, Scraggy Bay is a balanced coppery ale with a snappy little bite of hops.

Pours cloudy lemon yellow. Reducing foam head. Looks the part. Aroma is citrus floral fruit. Some pine notes but aroma reduces once poured. Taste is sweet bread with bitter hit. It?s high carbonation gives a sherbert mouthfeel aftertaste. The high carbonation gives a lager feel to this beer. It?s not a bad effort and quite refreshing. Nice.

Hazy burnished gold with steady stream of fine bubbles with tight white head. Sweet mango and dusty grainstore on the nose. Medium carbonation, full bodied dry shortcake malt, touch of lemon. Dry herbal finish. Well made but unexciting.

Burnished gold with fluffy white cap that fades but rims and speckles. Orange peel nose with some toast. Cheerios toasted graininess up front with bitterness creeping in, then grapefruit and spruce hops. Little honeysuckle hit to end then tight herbal bitter linger. Lt-med, crisp, slight chew, dry. Chalky bitterness and sharp C-hops make for a pretty lean IPA. Bordering on thin, especially as the ABV is not particularly low. I’d call this a hoppy APA, and stripped down one at that.
