Mid to dark brown coloured beer with a thickish white head. Very light malt aroma, some chocolate and a hint of dark, plummy fruit. Dry mouthfeel. Bittersweet taste, plenty of malt flavours that come through from the aroma. Chocolate and coffee give bitterness then the jammy, plum fruitiness adds sweetness to balance the flavour. The finish is bitter but does lack a little taste. Tasted at the Wellington, Birmingham.
