Cask, Far From The Madding Crowd, Oxford. Copper, small soap-foam cap of just off-white head. Floral hops, some marmalade sweetness. Rose water, minty bitterness, sweet but not sticky. Crisp herbal finish in a way strongly reminiscent of a good German pils. Decent all around, but the herbal quality is what really makes this interesting.

Cask@Leicester Festival 2006. Golden syrupy looking beer with a hopped, fruity and dry aroma and a light and mainly dry flavour. Overall a plain dry beer.

Cask, Leicester Fest 06. Bright gold with white bubbles. Aromas are fresh and light citrus with pepper. Flavours are lemon sherbert sweets with some citric sourness. Mellow with some wheat character. Dry on the finish. Decent.

Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Golden coloured. Nice hoppy, juicy citric aroma. Good balance - sweet lightness rises to a nectar finish. Nice tasty beer, which is pleasant stuff all round, perhaps with one eye on APA status.
