Dervock (178), Emu plains, Australia Sep 10, 2009 Bottle - Pours a pale yellow with a large frothy clinging white head. Really nice big hop aroma. Sweet metallic flavours with some cereal, metallic taste lingers...not very nice. Was hoping for something akin to a good pilsner given the aroma...sadly dissapointed! mkel07 (494), Brisbane, Australia Aug 11, 2009 330ml bottle. Snow white foam cap taht collapses quickly. Plae and clear with good carbonation and a basic hop aroma. Overall rather bland and uninspiring with a medium level of bitterness. All in all nothing to get excited about. DuffMan (2721), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada Jul 31, 2009 Bottle. Clear golden, average white head. Aroma of pale cereal malts with a low skunky hop note. Flavour is clean pale malts with some nice grassy hop flavour and low bitterness in the finish. Finish is quite dry. I had this with blue cod fried with garlic, ginger, hot chili, and lemon and it was a very nice pairing. The mood and the food brought out the best in what is an average lager. UnholyBrewing (448), Melbourne(Mulgrave), Australia Mar 18, 2009 ...easy drinking, but really no flavor at all. Smells like water, with a rice aftertaste. IT would be a good cleanser, but that’s about it. Demise (57), Wellington, New Zealand Oct 16, 2008 Pale golden lager with a white head which quickly disappears. Not much on the nose, a bit of malt, a bit of herb. Taste is average at best. Very bland and watery, with strong grassy notes. A hint of hop, but this would need to be accentuated dramatically in order to improve the quality of the beer. Mouth is left with a slight yeasty film on the finish. A poor pale lager. Heineken anyone? Thylacine (237), Tasmania, Australia Aug 2, 2008 Clear gold. White head which disappeared in seconds. Medium carbonation. Thin and Watery. Rather pallid in flavour. Stale aftertaste. gam (1068), brisbane, Australia Mar 23, 2008 Gold pour, medium head, back to some lace cover.Aroma grassy, salt air, metallic odour.Flavour malt, metallic, straight from the start, why Lion Nathan, first you copy a beer then as usual it,s metallic, pathetic. BarossaLuke (88), Australia Mar 15, 2008 A very pale lager without much of a head. Light malty aroma with just a hint of hops and a corn like aroma probably from adjuncts. On the palate there’s a touch of sweetness and that corny flavour again. Very light, refreshing but finishes slightly sweet. Brewed under license by Lion Nathan in Australia.
