Aroma: Very floral and perfumed hop with undertones of earthy German hops. Lightly roasted grain, orange peel and pear. Flavor: Light-medium roasted grain, orange, orange peel and spice. Finishes with earthy, grainy flavors and drying bitterness in the back of the throat. Palate: Has more body than the standard Kirin lager. Starts smooth and then turns dry on the finish. Comment: Sold at 7-11 convenience stores. A class above the usual commercial Japanese lager.

Botella. big mouth (reminds me of my days in the US with "Mickeys" brewskies. Clear golden with a medium head. Malty caramel and hoppy aroma. Good mouthfeel. Flavour has a good maltiness with ok hoppiness, some caramel, medium bitterness.

Bottle on Boat from Noashima to Uno. Clear yellow - white head. Light malty. Some fresh hops. Light bitterness. Hay. Bread. Egg. OK light floral. Pleasant, but a bit simple. (5/3/5/2/12)

Medium to light orange with a lacy white lasting sticky head. Smells of hops and yeast with a slight weirdness from the pasturisation maybe like grass or chemical. Some bread. Sort of stale. Thin watery body but the carbonation is very soft. Taste of malt and bread, dough and lemon with a soft hop bitterness. Its nice but has a strange grass staleness that though drinkable, I couldn’t drink much of it.

Surprisingly pretty decent! I was expecting to be taken advantage again with the old ’super premium limited edition but same taste’ trick, but this is actually a significantly different beer! A pretty strong hop character and nicely refeeshing maltiness make for a nice balance. The hops themselves could maybe be a bit more rounded out as theyre a bit harsh, but all in all a decent beer! Hurray!

Bottle from local 7-11 store. Pronounced hop aroma (dry hop?) with grassy malt. Bright deep yellow, good lace. Very good bittering w/ considerable malt base, well balanced, with a bit of a sweet finish. Solidly made lager, one of the better ones from a Japanese macro

Awesome little stubby bottle - thought it was a nip glass at first. 330ml though. Lots of carbonation with a big pillowy pearl white head. Retention is pretty good. Soft bready, doughy nose. Quite rich for this kind of beer. Still a bit too macro tasting for mine, but you can taste a bit of extra care. Bready, tin, dough and a faint though quite lingering generic bitter finish. Not much to see here, but still better than the regulars. A slightly hoppier helles?

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2012 Bottle. Nice wide mouth opening. "Dip Hop" is apparently a kind of dry hopping. Certainly smells like it. Nicely hopped aroma, good citrus and grass nose, light bready malt. Pretty nice. Deep, clear gold with a tall foamy head. Nicely hopped beer, highly attenutated, but nice bready malts. Good hop flavor and huge bitterness for a major. Really nice. For a major. Light body, but full, great hops. Wow. Respectable shit!
