Wombata (453) - Kobe, - JAN 31, 2013
Aroma: Very floral and perfumed hop with undertones of earthy German hops. Lightly roasted grain, orange peel and pear. Flavor: Light-medium roasted grain, orange, orange peel and spice. Finishes with earthy, grainy flavors and drying bitterness in the back of the throat. Palate: Has more body than the standard Kirin lager. Starts smooth and then turns dry on the finish. Comment: Sold at 7-11 convenience stores. A class above the usual commercial Japanese lager.

Clear amber, medium white head that settles quickly. Malty and slightly floral aroma. Light sweetness, a little pine, floral notes, light bitter finish. Decent for a lager.

KeefOz (918) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - JUL 30, 2014
BB 02/2015. Poured a crystal clear amber colour with a one- to two-finger white foamy head that diminished quickly to a collar and laced OK. Carbonation low and coarse. Aroma strongly malt and with slightly sweetness. Taste slightly bitter with a hint of malt and was a bit skunky; becomes more malty as warms. Light body. Smooth, crisp, light with a tart bitterness on the finish. One to drink cold and fast before it warms. Brought back from Japan by daughter Chrissie.

Clear golden color, small steady white head. Sweet malty, perfumic aroma. Medium-bodied. Malty with some alcohol. Light bitterness. Clean and certainly decent pale lager from Kirin.

ładny, chmielowy, ziołowy zapach. dość porządna piana, złoty, przejrzysty kolor. w smaku pełne, ale z wyraźną ziołową, łodygową goryczką. jedno z fajniejszych piw szeroko dostępnych w japonii

Brentv (354) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 30, 2014
Bottle pour in Narita, Chiba, Japan. Pours a clear straw yellow with a pillowy white head that dissipates quickly. Almost no lacing. Aroma is yeasty and grainy, stale. Taste is unspectacular, a bit sweet, a little bitter, with a bitter finish and aftertaste. Thin mouthfeel.

Grilled bread, floral hops. Roasted malt, fruity hops, orange candy, bread, bitter finish. Quite tasty and well-rounded for a major Japanese brew, likely one of the very top Kirin brews.

Straight from the bottle. Hops and malts, but not very distinct. A little skunky, lots of bread, and wheat. A pretty standard macro lager with a bit more hops.

Bottle - From bottle - Pale malts and some mild earthy grassy hops. Clear gold with small white head. Big dark malt and bitterness with some fruit esters. Very odd, almost a medicinal liquorice flavor .
