Aroma: Very floral and perfumed hop with undertones of earthy German hops. Lightly roasted grain, orange peel and pear. Flavor: Light-medium roasted grain, orange, orange peel and spice. Finishes with earthy, grainy flavors and drying bitterness in the back of the throat. Palate: Has more body than the standard Kirin lager. Starts smooth and then turns dry on the finish. Comment: Sold at 7-11 convenience stores. A class above the usual commercial Japanese lager.

$2 Bottle from 7-Eleven in Kyoto. Sparkling gold pour with solid white foam. Skunky nose, grassy, cereal. Mild alcohol flavor, some orange peel, less industrial feeling than expected, heavier body fro style. Nicely balanced though and quite drinkable.

Bottle from Lawson. Nice pils like aroma with a good grassy, lemon pepper nose. Taste is more of the same. Nice and crisp with a fair amount of pepper for a major. Good balance, but the hops are showcased fairly well. Nice clean finish that is dry and crisp.

Good malty aroma. Okay malty flavor. OK bitterness which fills the upper part of the mouth a weak moment. Mediocre beer. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Bottle poured in tumbler. Smells of wet hay, almost mildew, not a fan of the aroma here. Very hoppy up front, hay and pine, slightly bitter. Giving a few more taste points as I didn’t realize it was at 6%, this drinks like a session beer. I appreciated the hops more as I drank it but overall not a fan.

Delicious and refreshing when served cold. Run for the exits to avoid the stick of this one once it warms.

Clear amber, medium white head that settles quickly. Malty and slightly floral aroma. Light sweetness, a little pine, floral notes, light bitter finish. Decent for a lager.
