Pálida acetinada, completamente translúcida. Creme branco denso. Formação boa de bolhas.
Aroma bem maltado. Um pouco doce. Nada de lúpulo.
Amargor médio para baixo e de curta duração. Persiste mais um doce de malte, um pouco de caramelo.
Retrogosto ácido com um amargor médio.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Poured from 355mL bottle. Clear, pale yellow with almost no white head. Grainy corn aroma. Same flavour with touch of sweet malt. Very offish metallic finish.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Thanks to the daddy in law.
Pour is clear bright yellow, with a small fizzy white head.
Aroma of hay, bread, slight bitter grass. Taste is somewhat bitter, but has faint sweetness to it as well.
Slightly bigger than watery body, with a fizzy carb. A pretty good pilsner imo.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Said 5% right on the label, so I’m gonna roll with the fact that this is the 5% and not the other one. It pours okay in a glass with decent head but has a lemony aroma without complexity. Easy to drink but again there is little there. Refreshing indeed, but nothing beyond that. Perhaps that’s all they intended anyway.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Purchased in a 33cl bottle from Tesco, and brewed by Well’s and Young’s in Bedford. Clear, golden appearance with short-lived white head. Malty aroma and sweetish taste balanced by grassy hops with notes of hay. Exceptionally clean tasting. Slightly characterless, but well-balanced. Refreshing, but a little bland. Note the moustachioed monster on the label - allegedly a reference to the moustache of the founder, Thomas Blake Glover. He was a Scottish entrepreneur and founded, amongst other enterprises, the Japanese Brewing Company in the late nineteenth-century. The Japanese Brewing Company later became Kirin.
