2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
This is truly a bland lager with no body and nothing that defines it. This was my first Japanese beer. The 22 oz can is special with a mythical half deer , half man on the side. The head frothed over in the glass. It settled down and the color was a clear gold. I don’t eat sushi so I probably will not be drinking this lager in the future.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
One of the better Japanese brews and goes great with sake and sushi. I sampled this with six other Asian style beers and this was one of the best. A nice malty flavor that is typical of the Asian variation of a pale lager. Quite refreshing!

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottled, brewed under licence in England. A bland lager with no taste to speak of at all. Slightly sweet. Most places would have a better lager on tap than this.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear sparkling yellow-gold color topped with a fluffy crean colored head. Sweet, smooth corn and barley malt flavor. Average for the style.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Heavily carbonated, very light golden but not quite yellow. Sweet, grassy, a little skunky, all very mild in aroma. Starts watery leading to a bitter in the back of the mouth that fades leaving a grassy hop flavor. Light. Better than many in this style.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Very light beer, and of surprising quality. Smooth and easy to drink. Very little on the malt side, but a decent hoppy taste. Good brew.

Bottled, alc. 5.0% (BB 08/2006)
Brewed by license in UK.
Pale yellow, small white head. Weak maize-corn, malty nose. Quite light palate.Sweet fruity maltyness. Also aftertaste is sweetish malty. Somewhat you can expect from Asian pale lager.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottled (5%). Golden colour, small white head. Malts in aroma, along with weak hints of maize. Strong maizeish and malty flavour, with a bit metallic hints. Not for drinking separately, but I think with food, especially spiced, it would be ok to drink.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Rather light, nothing that stuck out. Not bad, but tasted much like a light beer. You can tell that there was time put into the brewing process, the problem is that it just came out an average beer. Not bad, I got it at a Japanese restaurant, so it went perfectly with the meal. I would drink it again.
