1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
The beer I tasted was brewed by Lion Nathan in Sydney, dunno if that makes it a different beer. Anyway it was darker than expected for a "Japanese" beer, clear as with good head retention.
Aroma lightly malty, not much going on but no real off flavours. Sweet candyish malt with absolutely no hop character. Very clean. Boring and sweet.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This is another Macro style lager (A-B has thier hand in it what else?) Nothing spectacular. Have it at the Japanese Steak House - you'll live through it.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
A pretty standard beer not far off the mark from the Kirin Lager. Some sweet malt flavor but mainly another bland lager. Clean crisp dry finish. Nothing complex at all. Something you drink at the local Japanese steak house and little else!

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Okay, I gotta check the reviews *before* I go beer shopping next time...
Sorry, I'm not even gonna justify this swill with a full-on review. I should have known by the "Brewed under the strict supervisvion of Kirin's brewmaster by Anheuser-Busch" claim on the lable.
Cool "half dragon/half deer" picture on the bottle. Other than that, there is nothing interesting about this beer.
"Special single-press process uses only the most flavorful portion of the finest ingredients. Your reward is all the nuances of flavor and complexities of the character only a first press beer can offer" aside." WTF, is this an olive oil?!? What the hell are they pressing? If there's a "second press," are they admitting that Bud is their waste-product?

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not Bad...but then, unremarkable.
Virtually no head, aroma or flavour.
Then again, I'd have another...unless I were paying for it.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
(4 Jan 04, 5% ABV) A medium yellow brew with an average white head and no lacing to speak of. I noted a light malt and grass in the slightly sweet-smelling aroma. This is an unremarkable but drinkable beer.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Nothing special. Fizzy yellow and clean, well made but not distinctive. Goes OK with Sushi.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
Clear gold with bubbly white topping and a soapy aroma. Highly malt-sugary flavored and light on the tongue. Standard.

1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
very slight aroma of yeast; pale, washed-out yellow with a very thin head; bitter taste and astringent feel - not at all to my taste

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
On tap at Summits Wayside Tavern- I ordered this for the free pint glass. Pale yellow color with a small fizzy head. No real aroma. Slightly better than BMC but not by much. Dry finish. Nothing special.
