2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: JAN 22, 2007 Light yellow. Felt scratchy as I drank it. The little taste it had died quickly.

Itís an import! It must be great! Seriously, not bad at all, but not special either. I found the flavor to be present at least if not special. Goes well w/ dinner. Nothing to justify the íimportí markup though.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
bottle. big white head with a clear gold color. Grainy hop aroma. Grainy taste. Corn? Rice? Flavor so light I really canít tell. ever so slight bitter aftertaste. nothing repulsive, nothing great. Take it or leave it.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Can. Yellow fizzy beer, unsurprisingly pretty similar to the other Japanese macros. A bit sweeter than Sapporo and definitely than Asahi, but an odd metallic sweetness. Nothing special.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
The 12 oz bottle poured a sparkling clear dark straw colored beverage with a small fizzy white head that was mostly diminishing and left virtually no lacing on the glass. The aroma had a pleasant light malt character to it with subtle notes of citrus in the background. The body was light with a lively carbonation and a watery texture. The flavor starts off just barely on the sweet side. As the flavor matures through the medium length finish, it takes on a light, pleasant bitterness. The finish is crisp and refreshing.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: AUG 23, 2007 Wetherspooons Beer & Cider Festival May 2006 at The Falcon, High Wycombe and from the keg. Pale, slightly cloudy. Aroma is odd and vinegary, a touch of butter - possibly old. Boring keg lager, thst is softly flavouired - and that is about itís best featured. Bad.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: JUN 30, 2006 Sampled on draft this beer poured a pale golden color with a small white head. There is only a faint aroma with a vague macro-ish element. The flavor is dry and nutty with very little body, no hops to speak of and no aftertaste. Bland and inoffensive.

0.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
HORRIBLE!! Either I got a bad 22oz can that was cold, then warm, then cold, then warm, or something. The only taste I got was that of ALUMINUM CAN. After three gulps, the sink got the remainder.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
This is truly a bland lager with no body and nothing that defines it. This was my first Japanese beer. The 22 oz can is special with a mythical half deer , half man on the side. The head frothed over in the glass. It settled down and the color was a clear gold. I donít eat sushi so I probably will not be drinking this lager in the future.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
One of the better Japanese brews and goes great with sake and sushi. I sampled this with six other Asian style beers and this was one of the best. A nice malty flavor that is typical of the Asian variation of a pale lager. Quite refreshing!
