Finest barley malt, premium hops, smooth finish, no bitter aftertaste.

Had this one at PF Changís damn good resturant...anyway on to the beer. Pours out a typical yellow color, malty nose. Not the same nasty sweet stale smell you would get from an American macro..cough cough Bud. Taste is pretty much bland sweet malty with not much but a slight incling of hops, which I was suprised at.

Cool ass logo, relatively lame beer. Sweetish smell (hardly there) came from this golden headless beer. Very little carbonation. screw on caps are bad omens usually. The taste has a light (i mean i only imagined it after swallowing) taste of honey. Really pretty bland. Inoffensive is a good word, because it wasnít bad. then again, neat-o logo, half deer, half dragon thing.

Pours a very light amber color with white head. Aroma of grains, malt and hops. Flavor followed aroma, but added nothing new. Somewhat flat finish, but by far one of the best brews from Japan that Iíve had.

This beer poured a crystal clear little bit darker than straw color into a pint glass. It had a 3 finger white head that lasted about 2 minutes until it was at about at a fingerís height. After the initial burst of bubbles from the pour there are very, very, few left coming up from the bottom of the glass. The head does leave some lacing on the glass as I drink it. It has a very grainy smell. I swear I got a whiff of Fritos. Yep! There it was again. So, weíll say thatís corn. This one will not win any awards for it aroma, unless of course you like Fritos. The taste was acidic and bitter, with no malt flavors at all. I found it better to guzzle this beer than to let it wander around my mouth. A guzzling beer. Iíll have one more because I bought 2 cans as a something to drink while brewing. Note: I had this a long time ago when it came from Japan. I liked that one. This is really trash. Itís very acidic, no malt balance at all and brewed by AB "under strict..." Who are they trying to kid?!

An ok beer, Iīve drank this one at the sushi bars for years, as I did today, it goes well with fish, no offensive, easy drinking, grassy, lightly hopped, average, but consistant.

An okay Japanese beer if cold. So-so taste, yellow flavor. But at $1/draft in New York City - are you really going that astray? I would drink the first 2/3rds of one, then order another. :)

Draught. Clear golden color with thin white head. Sprucy, grassy hop nose with a touch of corn syrup. Dry, with a subtle but pleasant grainy flavor accented by sprucy hops. Nothing special.

Pours a pale gold yellow color with lots of large bubbles cascading up the sides and a medium amount of fizzy white head. Aroma is slightly grassy and sweet, slight corn scent. Flavor has decent body for a pale lager, basically sweet corn and malt flavors with a hint of dry light hops and grass. Overall, not bad depending on your food pairing. Goes great with sushi.

Pretty poor. Itís Bud under a different name. Maybe slightly better but still not worth the extra money its costs because itís an "imported" beer.

(24 oz can: $2.79 at BevMo in La Jolla, CA) Date stamped on bottom of can: 22-Nov-05. This beer pours a picture perfect pale lager to me, medium straw in color, crystal clear in appearance, with a few dozen separate streams of carbonation bubbles that start very small and slow-moving at the bottom of the glass, and as they move up the glass, they gradually increase in size and speed. Mesmerizing to look at. The bubbly, snow-white pours to over an inch in height and settles in rocky fashion to a thin layer over several minutes, leaving scattered patches of chunky foam on the glass. But the praise ends with the visuals. Grassy and lightly sweet nose smells like generic macro-beer. Macro-like grassy and grainy flavor has a somewhat bitter finish and is further marred by a moderate metallic flavor that is strong enough that I am definitely not imagining it because this beer comes in a can. Body is light, clean, and quite carbonated for a lively mouthfeel and plenty of sonorous, reverberating eructations. This clean, macro lager really doesnít taste any different than something like Budweiser, but Bud is far being the worst beer Iíve ever tasted either. The biggest issue with this beer is the very distracting metallic taste in every sip. But I bought this in the can for two reasons: so that I didnít have to buy a six-pack, and because I figured the canned beer couldnít be negatively affected by harsh lighting.
