A middle of the road beer. Not bad though. It’s clean and sweet at times. Not bad.

For some reason I love the carbonation in this beer. While I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy a six pack, it is the perfect combination for japanese food.

Not the worst macro in Japan - it does has some taste, but you wouldn’t drink it more than once.

Had a hard time visually telling the difference between this one and the glass of water they brought me. Very small yeasty aroma, even smaller amounts in the mouth. Well, not much more to say.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Nothing great, but nicer than many of the mass produced Asian lagers. Had a couple with some spicy Thai food and the matchup was okay. Looks like a light lager. Has a slight malty character. Better than Bud...

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aroma is light and tangy/hoppy...Color is a light yellow-gold---medium sudsy head and speckled lace...Taste is dominated by mellow hops; malt provides just a hint of sweetness and some body...Carbonation is moderate and adds bite...Finish is a reprise of the initial hop statement...Body is medium-light, but the lack of a meaningful malt contribution renders this pretty one-dimensional...Thoroughly drinkable, however, and better than most macro offerings...

So very clean. This is one I used to have as an easy drinking brew. That has lost its charm and appeal. Not a bad beer, just another that has become lost on me due to changing tastes.

This is slightly better than the regular Kirin Lager..it goes better with food, and finishes nice and smooth.

For a lager, this one has a fairly full body. Short palate, but definately better that U.S. lagers.

Truly a classic example of a horrific beer. I was forced to drink this while attempting to ’sake bomb’ and it was nothing short of a miserable experience. Thin, poorly balanced and distastefully sharp. Not good.
