2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aroma is light and tangy/hoppy...Color is a light yellow-gold---medium sudsy head and speckled lace...Taste is dominated by mellow hops; malt provides just a hint of sweetness and some body...Carbonation is moderate and adds bite...Finish is a reprise of the initial hop statement...Body is medium-light, but the lack of a meaningful malt contribution renders this pretty one-dimensional...Thoroughly drinkable, however, and better than most macro offerings...

So very clean. This is one I used to have as an easy drinking brew. That has lost its charm and appeal. Not a bad beer, just another that has become lost on me due to changing tastes.

This is slightly better than the regular Kirin Lager..it goes better with food, and finishes nice and smooth.

For a lager, this one has a fairly full body. Short palate, but definately better that U.S. lagers.

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Truly a classic example of a horrific beer. I was forced to drink this while attempting to ’sake bomb’ and it was nothing short of a miserable experience. Thin, poorly balanced and distastefully sharp. Not good.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: FEB 22, 2003 Color belonged somewhere between red and Green on a traffic light, head sat white and randomly dotted with bubbleez..aroma was uriney but chewy ...fizzy, lager grossness, sweet gooeyness...undercooked corn on the cob...blanched lemon peels...leaving the drinker bloated and bored.. after a while though, I started to notice a dried banana-like fruitiness and some worthy maltiness...Drinkable and a step up from U.S. swill

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Had this brew in a bottle. Light nose of caramel, toasted grains, resin, and earth. Pours a light sparkling golden. The large fluffy white head is mostly diminishing with fair lacing. The mild and subtle flavor is fresh and pleasant. The toasted nutty finish is balanced with light acidity. The light and dry palate is smooth and lively and finishes astringent.

Totally innocous, generic lager. Medium-heavy carbonation, little flavor or taste. Not good.

A light yellow in color, this is just an average beer.
