Bottle at random japenees restaurant in Camden. Pale yellow colour with a fleeting white head. Aroma is corn and chalky. Flavour is stale pale malt and some mineral in the water. Mostly very dull.

Another Asian lager, which are in general pretty nice and quite drinkable. And Kirin is no exception to this. Pours with a clear golden color and an average white foamy head. There are grassy hops in the aroma, which is slightly dusty but otherwise pretty weak. There is some initial sweetness followed by a very pleasant bitter hoppiness. The aftertaste is also slightly bittery which is all very nice and enjoyable. A nice effort.

Decent, but I felt it was a bit weak despite still having a distinct taste. Maybe more an issue with alcohol content than the ingredients themselves. Unsurprisingly, it pairs well with sushi and may work with other Japanese foods as well.

Bottle 0.33l. Pours clear golden with low head. Aroma is malt, slightly metallic. Taste is medium sweet, low bitterness, grains, malt, corn. Drinkable but flat and boring.

Bottle, drank during sushi. Unbelievable I haven’t ticked this yet. Pours a clear golden beer with a nice firm white head on top. Aroma is malty and grainy, typical lager and so I’d the flavor. It really does suit Japanese food, extra points for that. Decent lager, that’s all.
