Slightly worse than the Asahi I just tasted. Pours very pale straw color. Very watery and not much of aroma or taste.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass and a pilsener various times and has always shown the same qualities. The appearance had a nice light yellow clear color with a light half finger-ed white foamy head that dissipated within about thirty seconds. There wasn’t any lacing. The smell had some light sweet corn with a slight breadiness in it but coming off really light. The taste was mainly sweet through the corn and bready notes. On the palate, this one sat exceptionally light and was pretty sessionable. The carbonation was good for the style and for me. Overall, I say this was a pretty good pale lager worthy of having again.

Had this in the Okura Hotel Japanes Restaurant in Amsterdam. Really a tastey one-sided Lager beer. Very rewarding tough it has a simple taste.

Had this more than once, and last incarnation was on tap as "frozen", with a weird almost icecream white top. Average asian lager, yellow color, undefined taste, easy to drink.

Review: Can of Kirin Ichiban Pale Lager, 5%ABV Kirin Ichiban, my first time having a Japanese beer, was impressive on its first showing. In general it was pretty nice and quite drinkable On pouring, the appearance was of a pale yellow colour with a very big creamy head that lingers for some time, and leaves a bit of lacing on the glass. Had a nice look to it. Aroma: A pleasant sweet smell of a light grain and malt aroma. A nice light beer to drink and went down easy enough. The taste had some initial sweetness followed by a very enjoyable bitter aftertaste of hops, kind of creamy. Tastes of hay, wheat, and light floral hops. A good clean, crisp beer, smooth, I liked it. Recommended for someone who is looking for a nice light beer to relax with
