Finest barley malt, premium hops, smooth finish, no bitter aftertaste.

Editor's Note: Also brewed in the US: "Anheuser-Busch began brewing Kirin Lager, Kirin Ichiban and Kirin Light at its Los Angeles brewery in 1997. The agreement marks the first time Anheuser-Busch has produced foreign brands for sale in the United States."

24 oz can, canned on 4/16/13. Pours clear gold with a force-carbonated head. Aroma is tap water. Taste is sweet malts, boiled vegetables and white rice. No hops, but a very unusual vegetable finish. Very simple and easy to drink, but I don’t think I’ll pay $2.50 for it again.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2008 Yes, it’s golden clear with a very clean white head and it’s a lager. It goes great with Asian food--I wouldn’t laze on a summer afternoon guzzling them. No strong taste of its own makes it a good choice for certain cuisine.

A distictive lager with an odd aroma, falvor. Hard to explain, but tastes like olives. Pours as expected in color and gravity but no head. Good mouthfeel.

330ml bottle - Dry coppery smell with heavy carbonised aroma. Strong and epidemic carbonation giving it a distilled taste. Weak watery taste and overly malted barley taste.

Pours golden color with white head. Lots of adjunct (rice), grass, straw, some citrus. Minimal hops. Light bodied and easily drinkable, good with sushi. Nothing complex or exciting here as expected.

Served ice cold at a sushi place, and I’m glad for it. Kirin is almost tasteless. It was very refreshing, but, then again, so was the ice water I had with it. Japan’s take one the American adjunct lager.

Cheers all around! This Japanese beer is terrific! I bought it as a single thinking I wouldn’t like it. I will buy it in a higher quantity next time. Tastes like the American counterparts with an ’A’ in smoothness.

Bottled stuff. Not bad really. Pretty smooth. Everything else is mellow, sutble or just plain thin. No nasty aftertaste and none of that dirty plastic that some of these have. That's probably the best thing about it, it's inoffensive. Shame it's not as cheap as sparkling water really.

0,33l bottle @Food Court, Schipol. Sour, light, pilsner, no hops or malts. Not unpleasant, just dull.
