No aroma what so ever, and a strange taste that is hard to descibe... it not horrible just not use to it.

Reviewed on tap, though have also drank bottled. Well, I am not a lager drinker so this was never going to get a stellar review but I have to say that it is an enjoyable beer. Very pale, light and refreshing beer... quite well carbonated with a fizzy mouth feel, quite a decent and soft aftertaste. Certainly not a bad lager and worth a try if you can get it.

floral, amber, clear, minimal head, lightly bitter, light sweetness, light body, thin feel, lively, wasn’t very good to be honest

Had a few of these while eating sushi the other night. Just seemed the appropriate thing to do. Not much good for anything besides pretending to be cultured at Japanese restaurants and saki bombing.

Better than most of EU lager beers. Nice body, nice look, very good taste and aroma, even palate is not so bad as at most of lager beers. Enjoyable beer, it is very fine with the food, because is somehow neutral but tasty.

It’s hard for me to judge this one. Solely as a beer on its own, it’s not very good. But I love it with sushi, I think it balances the flavors extremely well. And I have to give it props on the appearance. The head is pretty thin, but what little there is actually leaves a moderate lacing. Not too much hops, and kind of thin in general, but something about this and sushi gets me going. THis rating is probably higher than what the average drinker will think of it, and if I never tasted it with sushi, it’d be getting a much lower score from me.

Look, this beer is a pale lager, so you have to rate it for the style. We’ve got lots of very crappy pale lagers here in Panama, and this one is MUCH, MUCH better. I didn’t get the corn or rice tastes, I got a nice softly malted barley and very mild hops. Not bad at all for the style.

There is nothing to this brew. It is aroma-less, looks pale bordering on clear and tastes thin. The finish is slightly floral, short, and probably the cleanest I have ever tasted. This is not necessarily a good thing as there is absolutely nothing memorable about Kirin Ichiban.

In 5 words: Cold, crisp, light, refreshing, clean. I think that about sums it up.

330ml bottle. Pale yellow lager with decent whie head. Smooth, balanced and flavoursome - barley malt falvour. Decent, drinkable and inoffensive beer but nothing special by any stretch
