I wasn’t a big fan of Sapporo until I tried this poor attempt at a brew. This isn’t any better than Miller or Bud so don’t spend the extra money.

Good aroma for a lager, not corny, just malty. Orangish-yellow color, minimal head. Corny taste, malty, a little alcohol, but finishes light and watery. Has good body for a lager, but still a little thin with a little too much carbonation. Overall, I’ll drink it, but if it’s casual sipping I’m going for, I’d much rather have a Sam Adams or a Spaten or something.

Ok lager. Doesn’t really stand out from the rest (Bud, Coors...) but it is not terrible. Drank it before going out and it works fine in such settings. Kind of sweet and watery, but what can you expect.

Pale yellow in color with thin head. Grassy aroma. Crisp and clean. Refreshing but not a lot of flavor.

Well, the color is a light clear yellow. Head doesn’t last long. Little lacing. Smell and taste is of rice and grain. Where are the hops and malts? I guess beer from across the country is way different than ours. Mouthfeel is very clean and crisp. Overall, nothing I would ever recommend or buy again. Very light beer, I’d rather spend money on an American marco. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 11-18-2008 05:09:39

pours very light yellow with a little white head, not bad aroma with a nice hoppiness. not alot going on in the flavour department but very refreshing and clean. a good thirst quencher and less chemicaly flavoured than other asian lagers.

Another watery, dry, yet appetizing and refreshing Asian pale lager. Good carbonation. I could taste the hops and maybe rice (?) while supping it. Kirin Ichiban had a mellow, squash-tasting finish. Interesting... Recommended with Japanese food. as it quenches your thirst.

Oct 31, 2006 Bottle at Yamashiro, Hollywood Hills, Calif. A nice light lager, with proud head, that complemented my excellent sushi well. A tad sweet, malty with watery finish.
