Rather light, nothing that stuck out. Not bad, but tasted much like a light beer. You can tell that there was time put into the brewing process, the problem is that it just came out an average beer. Not bad, I got it at a Japanese restaurant, so it went perfectly with the meal. I would drink it again.

There is nothing to this brew. It is aroma-less, looks pale bordering on clear and tastes thin. The finish is slightly floral, short, and probably the cleanest I have ever tasted. This is not necessarily a good thing as there is absolutely nothing memorable about Kirin Ichiban.

Light gold color. Scant head, no lace. Aromas of malt, miscellaneous grain, maybe rice or corn, citrus, yeast and a tad of hops. Flavor was well-balanced, slightly malty and some noticeable hop flavor and bitterness. Tastes all-malt but no toastiness or sweetness. Slightly sour. Reminds me of Ortliebs or Carling Black Label, for those who remember.

A pale golden colour, with a white head. Aroma; A good maltaroma, also getting some grass, floral components. Even some fruit. Flavour; Pretty much the same as the nose, with some extra grass it seems. Alittle agressive carbonation, but a good balanced beer with almost no bitternes. Summary; Love this with sushi and almost all fish with good flavour. Not a extreme beer, but a good lager!

Pours pale yellow, nose of some sweet malts and yeast. Some flavor of tropical fruit, banana, and bread. Not bad for a pale lager.. Most are light and flavorless, this is light, but has lots of flavor.

UPDATED: APR 1, 2005 Has the wet cardboard grassy flavor typical of this type. Better than Mexican anyhow, nothing special.

Probobly my favorite beer from the land of the rising sun. It is highly drinkable and sepecially goes well with sushi. Gold color and light aroma with no real lingering taste.

22 FL OZ ($3.30) This is a very light tasting beer and goes down like water. Its not bad but I prefer some taste to my beer. I’ve come to expect all lager to be pretty much watered down beer. nothing too intense and I don’t recommend this one.

On tap at Summits Wayside Tavern- I ordered this for the free pint glass. Pale yellow color with a small fizzy head. No real aroma. Slightly better than BMC but not by much. Dry finish. Nothing special.
