Finest barley malt, premium hops, smooth finish, no bitter aftertaste.

Editor's Note: Also brewed in the US: "Anheuser-Busch began brewing Kirin Lager, Kirin Ichiban and Kirin Light at its Los Angeles brewery in 1997. The agreement marks the first time Anheuser-Busch has produced foreign brands for sale in the United States."

Very clear straw colored. Bright white head that was very fizzy with little retention or lacing. This looks like a "macro" for sure. Several bubbles streaming to the top. The aromas was corn and grain. Some malt character. Maybe a faint biscuit. Everything was very faint. The taste was of a cereal grain and corn. Some minute bitterness. Not a real pleasing taste. Tastes like a "macro" also. Getting a stale, metallic taste too. The mouthfeel was light and watery. It is refreshing and crisp. Doesn’t leave much aftertaste at all. This might be fairly refreshing if it was 110 degrees in the shade. I probably wouldn’t want this under any other circumstances however. I could finish it, which is always positive I guess. Does have a cool little label on the bottle though.

Similar to other beers from Asian countries. Not bad, not great.

Not too bad, by far the best Anheuser Brewery product. Looks pretty weak though, a high yellow piss color.

La lager japonaise à la meilleure rondeur à mon goût et de celles que je connais, ce qui reste limité en soi.

Thin, lacked ’oomf’, tasted like a flat Budweiser. I can drink this stuff, but I don’t exactly like it. Oh? Imported by AB? Now that explains the Bud taste.

From a can, beer pours (in Chimay glass) an applejuice (piss, read 'urine')-golden color with virgin-white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is of strong straw, grass, vegetal. Flavor is of a watered down straw, grass - not too prominent. Still a drainpour. Looks awful. Tastes awful. Just another sucky, yellow beer - and there's plenty of them. Sampled at 71 degrees Fahrenheit.

Of course I order this with Sushi and thats about it. The beer is malty and I would say skunky too, but for some reason it has a good alcoholic kick compared to other japanese beers.

Golden color with minimal white head. Simple aroma and flavor. Mostly malty. Pretty decent.

Bottled: My favorite beer to accompany sushi. Clean, crisp, good carbonation. Flavor is not exceptional but a slight sweet malt presence is detectable. For the purpose I use it, Ichiban is solid, palate-cleansing beer.
