This is a ’situational’ beer - drink with sushi. Other than that, its light in body, high in carbonation and minimal flavors. Just a tad better than the Buds, Coors and Millers of the world.

2nd favorite of japanese sushi beers. Would like to do a side by side with asahi. Creamy head, yellow fizzy beer.

mmm, nothing stand out. I suppose it is a japanese lager, so i shouldnt be expecting a lot. It is a nice clean colour but it has little aroma. Tastes grainy and a little too light. not too much flavour and zero aftertaste. Overpriced for a standard, inoffensive, japanise lager.

Another pale lager that is very Japanese. Still better than american beers but very light without a great deal flavour. I could take it or leave it but it wasn’t really memorable.

As rice beer goes this is one of the better brews, Not a Tsing Tao but better than Supporo. Light and crisp.

Pours slightly darker than the average pale lager, with a thin, white head that quickly fades into nothing. Aromas on the nose are faint, and anonymous, as most pale lagers. Aromas on the tongue are corn, cereals, apples; herbs and grassy notes in the aftertaste. The taste itself is a bit on the sugary side, but with a pleasant bitterness in the aftertaste. The mouthfeel is thin and fizzy. Generally, this is a pretty boring beer, but as far as pale lagers go, this is far from the worst.

gold appearance, big white head that dissipates quickly. Adjunct sweetness in aroma that is not quite malt. Flavor has the same character. I'm guessing that there is rice in this beer, as it reminds me of Bud. Almost no hop character at all, but then again that is what they claim, no bitter after taste.

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2006 This is an overlooked lager. Maybe the bottles I’ve enjoyed are fresher, but I totally disagree with the other comments. This was crisp and no bad aftertaste.

Looked like a light beer in the glass. Light to no taste, lots of bubbles. Nothing indistinguishable.

Of course, this beer is great to drink with an Asian dinner. It’s smooth, and we think it tastes similar to Coors Light.
