2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
One of the better Japanese brews and goes great with sake and sushi. I sampled this with six other Asian style beers and this was one of the best. A nice malty flavor that is typical of the Asian variation of a pale lager. Quite refreshing!

Bottle-Memphis. Very disappointing. Was looking forward to a crisp, refreshing lager and wound up with a stale beer - I guess this is the AB trademark.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Pours a pale golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of cereal malt and grass. Malt and corn flavour with a light grassy hop bitterness. Quite bland and boring. Overall not that enjoyable.

Liked it more than Asahi. Not bad...although I was amused by the "brewed under strict supervision by Anheuser-Busch in Los Angeles" wording on the bottle. Anyone who thinks there is supervision in LA as strict as in Japan hasn’t lived in LA.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours with a bright yellow color, thin head, medium level of carbonation. The taste is slightly bitter, crisp, dry except for some bitterness -- in the finish. GOOD BEER

Had at Chang's Mongolian Grill. Largely unspectacular. Hints of malt. Slight hops in the finish. Still more flavor than a BMC. Oh, and on the bottle it said it was brewed under the supervision of the Kirin Brewmaster by Anheuser-Busch Los Angeles Ca.

Looks like your standard American fare, but some hints of malt. It went well with the Hibachi food at the restaraunt and did compliment the ginger flavors in the salad dressing.
