Finest barley malt, premium hops, smooth finish, no bitter aftertaste.

Editor's Note: Also brewed in the US: "Anheuser-Busch began brewing Kirin Lager, Kirin Ichiban and Kirin Light at its Los Angeles brewery in 1997. The agreement marks the first time Anheuser-Busch has produced foreign brands for sale in the United States."

Standard bland mass produced lager but excellent with sushi, and light and refreshing ice cold.

Pale and clear. Thin bubbly head that disapears quickly. Grassy and rice grain smell. Average smoothness with a hint of bitterness on the finish. Not on my re-buy list.

Sampled on tap at Japan in Epcot. Obviously this is brewed at Anheuser-Busch because it sure tasted like their swill. I made it a couple sips in, couldn’t see anything that made this any different that Budweiser, tossed it and moved on.

Bottle. Japanese restaurant in Guam. It was better than my Sapporo. It is very watery but still sweet. My favorite Japanese beer that I’ve had.

Light golden lager color with white head. Very light hops in the aroma, mostly a typical pale lager scent. Flavor is fresh, lightly sweet, and clean, though weak. Good crisp, clean, sparkling mouthfeel. Not bad, especially for a beer contract-brewed by Anheuser-Busch. A good complement to spicy Chinese dishes.

On draught. Aroma of bean and has that wet stone whiff too. Looks OK, nice white lacy head, a little palid. Watery and a little insipid.

One of the best Pale lager in my opinion, although the regular opinion makes it bad... really tasteful

I’m drinking it, so I might as well rate it. I’m disappointed to find out that A-B brewed this stuff in L.A. as opposed to Japan. Grassy aroma, cereal, and both are very faint. Looks like any other lager. Taste is malty-sweet. Bitterness lingers, but not much. Alright palate with typical lager carbonation. Overall, not bad, but not good. There is an extra dollar on the 6-pack which totally kills it.

Not bad, but not very good. Light honey tones, but tasted very similar to american macro brews like Bud and Miller.

Golden, clear with a white head. Smells and tastes like bud except maybe a little more sweetness. Petty good.
