"Brewed under the strict supervision of Kirin’s brewmaster by Anheuser-Busch, Inc., Los Angeles, CA" 24 0z. can, with the mythological Japanese deer/dragon beast striding diagonally up the aluminum container. Color, a transparent bright yellow, with a prodigous, fluffy, bone white head, that hastily, noisily crumbles.(Perhaps the head size was helped by the enormous Weihenstephaner glass I poured it into?) Aroma: rather dull and dry, and perfectly in step with a typical cheap lager smell, and am I smelling the rice? Is there rice? Taste will tell... Very smooth on the palate, to a fault, to the point that it’s existence barely registers or makes any impact upon the senses at all. Body is so light light that it rings hollow at every turn. There’s is a decent texture, I admit, a nice grit and play on the tongue and lips, that makes it a far more bearable beer than many ordinary lagers, but...I can’t at all detect the "complex character of one of the world’s premium beers." You’ve got to have a narrow definition of "beer", and "premium"...and "world"... Drinkability? Yeah, you can drink them, if you’ve got nothing better to do, nothing better to drink, and a mean streak of masochism...

Wow, look at that can! Not only is this can bigger than any can of beer I have purchased, it has the best artwork. Be that as it may, from other raters, this beer may fall far short of the can design suggests. Pours clear, with giant quickly dissapating head. Nice clean fresh aroma, nothing skunky yet. The taste is highly metallic, I should have guessed. Still, refreshing it is, and I think it is better a little warmer than normal. Still not everything can be roses and peachtrees. Tastes like the normal swill served up by macro brewers.

Bottle. Pale clear glimmiering gold color. Pungent skunky aroma, assorted grains. Sweet grainy cheap lager taste, with a handful of corn kernals. Low on the offensive scale, also low on the flavor scale.

Bottle. Pale yellow with a white head. Big bubbles. Harsh aroma and taste. Not much else going on. Crisp. I’ll pass on another.

Can--boy, I was expectIng that nitro whoosh when I opened the can--didn’t happen. Poured with a gigantic head and pale yellow color. Not much in the smell arena, at least it doesn’t stink. Not much taste, I guess you can say malt. Real watery finish and lots of large bubbles. I don’t if it was the long day before I got to the beer, but it didn’t disappoint. Publix, 2.49.

Pale and clear. Thin bubbly head that disapears quickly. Grassy and rice grain smell. Average smoothness with a hint of bitterness on the finish. Not on my re-buy list.
