COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Finest barley malt, premium hops, smooth finish, no bitter aftertaste.

Editor's Note: Also brewed in the US: "Anheuser-Busch began brewing Kirin Lager, Kirin Ichiban and Kirin Light at its Los Angeles brewery in 1997. The agreement marks the first time Anheuser-Busch has produced foreign brands for sale in the United States."

This smelled, poured, and looked like your regular macro American pale lager. The only redeeming quality is that it slightly more malt presence. Acceptable, but not worth the price.

I heard good stuff about this before I tried it. Weak aroma and flavor. I should say above average, but I guess above sub-standard works better.

Looks like urine. Smells of burnt rice and yeast. Slight bitterness, very bland, and not very smooth. Not worth the effort.

UPDATED: APR 1, 2005 Has the wet cardboard grassy flavor typical of this type. Better than Mexican anyhow, nothing special.

My first impression was, ’Wow, this tastes like Bud.’ Then I read the label and it says ’under supervion by Anheuser-Busch’. Not bad if you want to pay twice as much for Bud in a different package.

I was told that this would be good, so I was hugely disappointed after the first sip. Im pissed that there are still 4 of these in my fridge. Tasted about a half step above american standards. Very watery, it wasnt even worth pouring into a glass.

Dry bitter brew. No real flavor. Aroma of day old beer in a can. Nothing really to grab a hold of here.

Decent for the fact that it wasn't offensive. Some malt detected. Perfect with the Tako Sushi.

Another macro beer. It is pretty smooth, however. Decent enough for a night at a Japanese steak house. I was kind of suprised to see that it is now brewed in The States by that purveyor of fine brews, A-B. Didn't they slam others a few years back for contract brewing????

Pale yellow orange. Thick but diminishing foamy head. Intricate lacing. Grainy aroma with a hint of cut grass. Mostly flavorless. Very slightly sweet some earthy notes. Quick, clean finish.
