rayg1 (408), Ft. Mill, South Carolina, USA Feb 1, 2008 Draft. Or if I were English or Canadian it came Draught. Whatever. Anyway, it came a deep golden color with a suprisingly thick billowing white head that lasted throughout. Aroma is very light and almost fruity with little to no hop prescence at all. Taste is very smooth and slightly sweet and doughy of malts. Again, just like in the nose, little to no hops at all. Finishes very dry and clean. I can see why the Japanese really like this beer. It’s a mindless and easy drinking beer, it has almost a creamy effect and sits thicker in the mouth than you would expect for such a light pale ale. I will give the mouthfeel a decent rating.
Butters (422), Temporarily in Nashville, Tennessee, USA Oct 1, 2008 Draft at a japanese steakhouse. Reminds me faintly of a cream ale. Clear amber yellow pour with adequate white head. Almost no discernable aroma. Astringent, butter, corn, grain flavors. Budweiser of the Orient? emacgee (1129), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Sep 27, 2008 Pale carbonated yellow with a frothy white head. Smells and tastes pretty much the same. Sweet and easy to drink. Crisp, grassy hop bitterness. very carbonated. cardboard basement flavor. TheGent (46), , Massachusetts, USA Sep 26, 2008 A gift froma griend after a nights work. What can is ay about this beer besides its like a bud in a slightly better looking bottle. gax33 (11), Minooka, Illinois, USA Sep 26, 2008 Really nothing special here - but also nothing wrong with this beer. Little flavor, but it’s crisp, clean and refreshing. Would make for a great beer after mowing the grass on a hot day. gringo332 (95), Richardson, Texas, USA Sep 18, 2008 I have always hesitated to buy this beer. I found it cheap so I bought it. And boy do I regret it. It looks and tastes just like Budweiser. Shame
