on tap at oana steak house, des moines, pours pale yellow with white head, has a nice crisp taste , veryplesant and easy drinking, wasnt expecting to like it, but woudl have again for sure

500 ml can w/ autumn maple leaves. Light sweet grassy aroma -- ripe hay. Pale straw color, big white head, pretty good lacing. Very mild sweet initial flavor with a substantial hit of carbonation; cereal and grass notes in mid palate; hops barely trickle over the tongue in final. Thin body. Not bad.

Pale gold with a quick dissapearing head. Light smell of malt and corn with a soft hoppy element. Thin watery body. Taste of bread and corn with a light bitter hop finish. Its impressive how thin and watery this massproduced Japanese pilsener is.

This beer is nothing special but it is better than regular Kirin Ichiban. Has just the faintest presence of hops and malt.

This beer is what Ichiban needs to manifest its will to power. Apparently submitting to the bland impress of its larger corporate partner, this beer is the definition of pale yellow beverage with just enough generic hops and grain to make you go "oh right, this is a beer."
