4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Unlike the other reviews for this beer, I will claim that this is one of the world’s best beers. Smoothness, genuine hops taste with zero bitterness!
Subtleness is the essence of this master brew from JAPAN.
’Little taste as said in these reviews is only that people reviewing are not understanding this beer at all’
This blows away regular Kirin in taste. While people may call it watered down, I say not the case! It was created for supreme drinkability, with select flavors with the one bad thing to me beer has BITTERNESS!
This beer is BETTER then ALL light beers, period!!
Micro brews while interesting, at least none I have run across have ever come close to a ice cold Kirin Light. note the KIRIN LIGHT in tap does have a clear edge to Bottled Kirin Light which is already amazing !

Well I don’t care what anybody else says, this is a very pleasent beer. It was smooth and very refreshing. Ok it does not have a lot of individual character but it is pleasent and far better then its low rating suggests. Much better then most big US beers.

The Kirin brewery was actually bought out by Anheiser-Busch, so this is probably why the beer is good, especially with Japanese cuisine.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Kirin Light (3.2% alcohol by weight) has a thin, white head, a clear, bubbly, straw appearance, and not a whole lot of lacing left behind on the sides of the glass. The aroma is faint, but one does detect sweet grains and some malt. Taste is of sweet barley malt, standard beer flavor, some mineral water notes, and a touch of hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Kirin Light finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and dry. Overall, for a beer, it is good, and for a light beer it is most excellent. No off smell or tastes, whatsoever. RJT

3.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
I love this beer. It is very refreshing and leaves a great aftertaste. It is also low in calories and you can drink a ton of them.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Apart from a bread smell there is nothing to talk about. Golden light beer with a nasty aftertaste than only those who are not into craft beer like.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
8/28/08 From the bottle. Aroma is very light sweet corn, simple but tasty. Appearance is clear yellow with a suprisingly well maintained fluffy white head. Flavor is classic pils sweet/sour, slightly corny, with a carbonic noble hop metallic bittering; not bad. Mouthfeel is low bodied with a moderate carb texture. Overall, light and simple.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Looks like lighter yellow sparklin water. A lighter enjoyable beer on the palate. Better than many domestic light beers. Fun, fizzy bubbly palate. Slight industrial linger in the background but otherwise well behaved. Overall good experience for this lager loaver. Looking forward to another bottle of this stuff. One of the better pale lagers I’ve tasted.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Appearance: Pours a clear, light yellow body with an airy, well-sized, white head.
Smell: It’s a pretty mild aroma at best, with only some light, clean notes of barley and spicy hops.
Taste: A thin, light taste of malted barley marked by a faint degree of sweetness and lightly spicy hops with a complimentary bitterness. Clean, crisp finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation. A tad watery.
Drinkability: A light beer, of course, but one that’s at least clean-tasting and fairly refreshing. There’s a lot of true horrors in the land of lagers, but, thankfully, this wasn’t of them.
