Thinnish brown coloured body with a almost ruby glow and a thinnish tan head. Aroma of brown sugar, roasted malt, coffee and a touch of chocolate - not too strong, especially for the style. Lightish bodied, somewhat Medium-bodied; Strong roasty flavour with a touch of coffee and some minor nuttiness. A bit of brown sugar and caramel sweetness and some stronger maltiness. Aftertaste is relatively sweet and mild, only a bit of bitterness comes through, but not bad - not too great, but no harshness or bitterness at all. Overall, a decent beer - not a great stout, but a good alternative to some of the lagers here. I sampled this 33 cL can purchased from a nice grocery store in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, Japan on 04-August-2010.
