3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at the Three Mariners, Lancaster. Copper with a
massive Northern off-white head. Malty aroma, some chocolate, some grape. Taste is intensely sweet from the initial hit to the short finish. Maltissimmo. Mouthfeel is too light for my taste. Not overly exciting, but a good enough beer from a dependable brewery.

On cask at the Bon Accord. Pours a dark amber brown colour with a fair light tan head. A malty aroma of caramel, chocolate, Weetabix and alcohol. Similar flavours with lingering Weetabix malt again. Mildly bitter with moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. Not bad.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: AUG 17, 2012 Dark deep copper brown with a red tint and a thin light creamy lasting tan head. Smell of dark fruit, like blackberry, light roast, wood, malt and caramel. Thin light generic body. Taste of berry, sweet malt, a little roast bitter finish. It has a nice woodiness that makes it a bit more complex than your typical bitter. A great bitter with a lasting finish.
