Nice amber orange with a soapy lasting very lacy creamy head. Smells of citrus hops, straw, malt and cereal. Medium creamy body. Light cereal toasted malt sweetness with some caramel and a bitter hop citrus greapefruit finish. Earthy. A little bitter on the grassy finish. Good balance.

March 2010: 500ml of bottle conditioned English bitter, poured into a vase shaped pint glass, carefully. I bought this and two other, different bottles while at the Brewery Tap. The beer is clear amber and an off-white creamy head sits on top, the head left some good lacing as the beer level sank. The aroma is a heady mix of hops and yeast, couldn’t detect any malts in the smell. The taste is mostly hop based too, giving the beer a true bitter feel and a tangy bite throughout the tasting. The brewery only started up in Feb 2009, by four mates who liked Real Ale. This was their first beer brewed, I hope the other two I have to review are as good!

Golden with a small white head. Malty aroma with bready and nutty notes, and a touch of black tea. Dry and malty flavour with grassy and tea-like hops and bitterness

Cask at GBBF 2011. Mid amber coloured bitter with complex spicy aromas. Taste is a good mix of malt and hops mellowing to a longish dry and bitter finish.

Cask @ GBBF 2011, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.

Clear medium amber colour with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, straw, grain - caramel, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light light heavy bitter with a average to long duration, malt and hop bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110803]

Cask (GBBF2011, Wed)
Gingery, but also very mashy aroma. Boring malty body - light grains - but the hops build up nicely and leave quite a sticky tingly finish.
