This classic handcrafted ale, brewed with generous amounts of American hops, including Cascade, Centennial and Amarillo has a complex character and is very hoppy in both flavor and aroma. By using barley malt, Munich malt and crystal malt, this IPA is a delicious medium bodied beer bursting with flavor. A true India Pale Ale.

12 oz from 24 mixed pack from costco. Smells caramely and red. Looks clear amber with off white head. Tastes of some iffy amber malts and ok hop balance. Overall 4.5 of 10.

Back on par, more or less, with the IPA. Slightly darker pour than youíd expect in a basic IPA, but there was a decently fluffy head and some vigorous carbonation (take the little things where you can get them). Nose was moderately floral, with some citrus rind and sweet malts detectable. Medium body, lively palate, and a slight grittiness in the finish. Flavors were appropriate but thatís about all.

Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. This beer had a big malty nose where hops were a little hard to find. Flavor is big and malty, too. Some hops pop their heads out but are challenged to keep up with the malt. The hops offer some pine and grapefruit. Balance could be better but this isnít bad.

Thanks to Sean for this. Amber color, some citrus hops but the hops also seemed a bit old. Off finish and slightly off aroma. Serving: Bottle

12 oz bottle into tulip. Pours a brilliant copper penny hue with a smallish light-beige head that collapses too fast into a collar; leaves a resilient blanket of foam. Aromas include cinnamon toast, caramel. No hop aroma whatsoever. Taste is alternating sweet and bitter with a touch of sour. Has a lingering bitter finish. Tastes nothing like an IPA--has none of the hallmarks, aside from the prounounced bitterness. Tastes like a cross between an American and an English strong ale. Itís like a mashup of Fullers ESB and something by Ninkasi, only not all that impressive. Highly carbonated and medium-bodied. Weird.

Dark amber color, clear. Nice hoppy aroma. Taste is a little sour, I think something is off with this beer... foamed heavily upon opening. Finish is also a little off... may be a qc issue with costco. Based on aroma and appearance, I would give a second shot.

Pours a dark red in color with a white head that desipates rather quickly. Poor lacing. Citrusy hops overpowers the caramel malt that hides in the background. First impression was a sugar dadddy. Meaty, chewy texture that i liked. Oily on the palate with a smooth finish. Suprisingly a decent beer for a costco brand.

12 oz. bottle- Pours dark amber with a nice fluffy white head, aroma is dirty hops and caramel malts. The taste is unpleasing, dirty water with bitterness added, not very appealing. Body is medium, carbonation is medium high, finish is bitter. Overall this is more European IPA than American, which in my book is not a good thing.

Clear copper pour, with an off white head. Sweet malt, piney hops, light citrus, and grain. Easy drinking. Not very good of an IPA, but the most worth while Costco brew.

Mild, hoppy, bitter, oily with a little linger. Small head. Deep red, clear. Nothing special, but not overpowering. Easy, drinkable.
