2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Light amber and minimal head. Smells of hops. Tastes of hops and grain. This is not complex but if you ever want to let somebody know what hops tastes like give them this. Itís not unpleasant, just very simple.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle at a friends birthday party. Not as bad as I had expected for a generic IPA. Aromas were definitely better than the flavor.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Good ale for a buck. Stone Brewing doesn't have anything to fear but it is as good as Goose Island and better than Henry Weinhart.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
West coast version. 6.9% abv. Bottle. Pine and citrus aromas with a sour malty smell as well. Flavor is sticky pine, citrus, and molasses. Average thickness. Not great but not bad.

Bottle in San Diego. Legit IPA, strong grassy hop aroma, moderate bitterness. I was quite impressed, actually.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
341 bottle poured at home. Pours a copper color with a thin head that died quickly. Smells like hops, but not like other IPAís...quite weak. A bit of carbonation and a slightly bitter finish. Not great for an IPA but drinkable.

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Clear light orange with a thin soapy white head. Aroma and flavor has off notes (like all the Kirkland beers Iíve tried so far) Mainly a fruity, unfinished, green beer note. Biscuit and caramel predominate over weak hops. Mild bitterness. Hops are grapefruit, earth, and floral. Semi dry and soapy. Too sweet. Just not very good.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
again, a little too malty and generic. about on par with the pale, perhaps a touch better. good price, not good value.
