danlo (2134) - Darlington, Durham, ENGLAND - JUN 2, 2014
500ml bottle. Golden amber colour, foamy white head leaving some lacing and aroma of tropical fruit, peach, orange, citrus hoppy. Taste is malt caramel with juicy peach, orange citrus, hoppy, hint of pine, and grapefruity bitterness. Slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Very drinkable.

Bottle from íJacksí Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon, consumed at Hastings Touring Park, Hastings Sunday 4th May 2014 Golden in colour with the merest haze, slight white filminess. Wonderfully bittersweet, really thrusty, dry, lovely light syrupy citrussy sweetness. This is excellent, really pleasant drinker. Great hoppiness, lovely. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

dogbomb (1139) - ENGLAND - DEC 29, 2013
Bottle. Hazy gold with a thin white top. Nose is super pungent. Lots of fruits - mango, pineapple, peach, nectarine, grapefruit. More fruit intenseness in the mouth, with some warming sweet malts. This is incredibly tasty stuff in the American/Double IPA vein. Real quality.

Bottle - copper coloured with moderate sized white head. Citrus and peach aroma, some sweet malts. Similar in the taste, nicely hoppy, nice oily mouthfeel, long hoppy bitter finish. Well put together, nice.

Nose is citrus, slight pine. Taste is lime, mandarin leading to a little cereal and a resin finish. Mouthfeel is suitable. Itís a decent American IPA, to be filed with the other 756,432 which are available.

Bottle from Drinkmonger. Slightly hazy golden body with a thin white head. Very light carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma of what Iím pretty certain is the Citra hop - lemon, grapefruit, peach and soap. Flavour is similar to the aroma - this is a real hop bomb. Apricot and lemon with a light caramel backbone. Thin to medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. This is the first Kirkstall Brewery beer Iíve tasted, and on this evidence it wonít be the last. It reminds me of Highlandís Island Hopping or a turbo-charged version of Fyne Alesí Jarl - itís packed full of fruity hop flavours. If Iím being picky, though, itís a bit light on the mouthfeel. A less filtered version of this would be absolutely immense.
