Keg. Deep purple haze with a very thin pink top. Smells of fresh raspberries. In the mouth, pure raspberry juice and a nice amount of tart. Mellows out jar enough and settles into a pleasant malty raspberry coulis.

Half pint on keg at Foley’s Cask Ale House in Leeds. Pink coloured patches at the surface. Cloudy dark-red coloured body. Tart and sweet berries to the nose. Taste of tart raspberries and sweet strawberries. Refreshing and cleansing (11.07.2012).

Keg.
Bright red. Smell and taste are pure raspberry. Real raspberries--and not just fruit juice--have to be used to make this beer. It’s too good. My go-to beer in England. Highly impressed.

Keg at the Euston Tap, London. Emerges as a deep ruby red shade with a small head. Wonderful ripe, sugary raspberry aroma. Really packed with fruit. Taste almost lives up to the aroma. It’s lightly puckering but my palate must have been expecting a lambic level of sourness, and I did long for it initially. But after many mouthfuls I really acquired a taste for this English framboise.

Tap at the Euston Tap. Bright red colour. Amazing raspberry smell. Like alcoholic fruit juice, very heavy raspberry flavour, sweet. Very nice for half a pint, wouldn’t have fancied a whole pint. Lacked some of the sourer base you get from a really good Belgian framboise.

Rhubarb red. Compellingly fruity at all levels, from nose to finish. So easy drinking, though slightly medicinal in a nice way. Wonderful. (cask, York Tap, York)

2nd July 2012 On tap at the Euston Tap. Cloudy purple - red beer. Tiny pink head. Light crisp palate. Sweet fruits, sweet and tart at the same time. Raspberry with generic red berries. A little apples and pears in there. An orchard delight!

Keg at the Holborn Whippet. Hazy pink/purple with a light pink head. I’d like to know more about how this beer is put together but the end result is impressive. A genuine raspberry zing with a touch of sherbert sourness. The best low strength UK fruit beer I’ve sampled to date.
