Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours a hazy golden color with a thin white head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Mild berry aroma with a bit of malt. Light body with a tart blackberry flavor underscored by an off artificial sweetness. The finish is short and fruity with a mild wheat aftertaste. Below average overall.

Draft... RBSG 2014... Lightly hazy yellow pour with a small, creamy, white head that never fully dissipates. Smells like pale grains and blackberry jam. Light bodied and über creamy with lazy carbonation. The flavor is mostly watery and grainy with a light blackberry nuance. Crisp, thin, refreshing finish.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy light gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet blackberry with some wheat for the backbone. Flavor has a good amount of sweet blackberry with some strong wheat backing.

phaleslu (9380) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 18, 2011
Draft sample at the brewpub. Pours a clear, dull, flat-looking yellow-gold color with almost no head. Aroma is mostly comprised of what smells like blackberry extract, or maybe cough syrup, or maybe candy, with only a hint of wheat. Flavor of blackberry-flavored medicine, minerals, wheat, and pale malts. Light-bodied, with low carbonation and a flat, medicinal mouthfeel. Seems like they took a boring wheat ale and shot some blackberry extract into it.
