A uniquely light and refreshing fruit beer with a crisp, clean flavor that is yellow in color. It is an easy drinking, slightly sweet beer with a blackberry flavor that is distinct, yet not overpowering. Medium light body with a medium high carbonation.

Missing a bit of extra berry in the finish but overall a solid beer, super refreshing.

Tasted 8/7/10. Sampler from the Brewpub. Mildly hazy with a pale golden hue. Trace ring of head. Aromas of berries and a slight wheatiness. Light to medium bodied with a bright palate. The berries are in the forefront, but itís backed up by a really nice vanilla sweetness. Good body and very crisp for the Summertime. Mildly lingering finish with the berry tart/sweetness lingering with the zesty base wheat beer.

Sampled at STL Heritage Festival - Pours hazy yellow with a white head. The aroma has lots of blackberries and smooth wheat. Medium smooth body with restrained carbonation. The taste is much like the aroma with a nice amount of blackberries and it is lightly sour. The finish adds a little bit of spice. This was a nice fruit beer.

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2013 On tap at the 28/65 Brewhouse. Served a hazy light golden color with a small head and no real lacing. Aroma of citrus, mild fruit with wheat and just a bit of malt sweetness. Taste of citrus some malt sweetness and a subtle blackberry sweetness. Has a mild bitterness and the finish is quite clean. Fairly light body, crisp and refreshing. A pleasant summer beer that goes down easy.

Sampled on tap at the brewpub. Very pale yellow color, even lighter than their lager with thin white foam and LOTS of lace. Strong berry aromas, some mild wheat, no real hops or yeast characteristics. Flavor was predominantly tart blackberry as well, neutralizing everything else. Strong carbonation, light body but with a well-rounded wheat-bread mouthfeel, long-lasting fruity aftertaste. A nice, refreshing summer beer.

On tap at The Highlands Brewery. Pour is a pale gold with a white head. Aroma is decent. Flavor is ok with only a fraction of the fruit there. Its more grainy than anything. One of ten in the sampler, not bad.

This beer surprised me too. Granted, it is an extract blackberry beer, and I was not holding out much hope, but again, solid taste for the style. The big knocks against it are the appearance, which is completely lacking any wheat characteristics. In fact, this looks like a pale lager in every aspect. Additionally, there were way too many hops in this beer (Holy shit, did I just say that?). By the look and the taste, I would almost say that they took a pale lager and added extract. I did not taste any wheat, nor did I see any wheat-like characteristics to the beer- either in the head or body. Still, the blackberry was nice, and the drink was thirst quenching. 2 Oz sample. Donít think Iíd order this shit by the glass! Oh, by the way, 2 dollars for a 20+ oz pint is fucking amazing.
