A refreshing American lager, Sugar Creek is bright, clear, golden yellow in color and contains a slightly sweet malty character with a pleasant clean finish. Light body with thirst quenching carbonation level, Sugar Creek is brewed with rice and is the lightest of our beers.

Draft at the brewpub. Very light, but no Bud Light. Subtle biscuit malt, no technical difficulties but not a stand out. Meh. (#6262, 8/7/2016)

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a light golden color with a small fizzy head. Aroma was quite mild with grain and bit of malt sweetness. Taste was also quite mild with malt sweetness and grain. No real bitterness and a clean finish. Light body, smooth and very clean. Fairly bland.

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2014 Draft... RBSG 2014... Clear yellow pour with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. The restrained nose is a weak blend of cereal grains and white pepper. Light-bodied and watery with zippy carbonation. Trends bitter, but only by a smidge, and is well-balanced overall. Crisp, snappy finish with a light buttery note. Probably some diacetyl here.

Flight pour on tap at the brewery (Kirkwood, MO). Pours a gently hazed straw hue, mellow yellow glow with bright white head atop. Nice frothy layer has decent stick around. Aromas are gentle grainy malts, a bit of straw and touches of gentle fruit. Clean, a bit fruity with subtle earthy jabs. Initial is lighter end of the fold with a bit of creaminess, gentle bread dough, light apple. Middle is a touch sweet with mellow flaked wheat and straw, more bread dough. Backend and finish is clean, just a touch of yeasty spice, subtle earthiness. Solid, clean, a touch sweeter. Lighter bodied with a touch of dryness as we finish.

Had this at their tap room Fall 2012. Not really impressed with any of their beers. This one was so so.
