Bottle 50cl. @ home.
Light unclear medium yellow orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, straw, bread, light to moderate hoppy, hazelnuts shell notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20081014]

Local beer for me. Like the rest of the Kirners weak and watery with the same aftertaste. Although this is one of thier better beers not a great beer either.

Pours a hazy light golden yellow. Aromas of straw/grass/hops. Flavors of light fruitiness, caramel malts, mellow hop finish.

50cL bottle. Very drinkable, unfiltered beer. My favorite of the Kirner beers, but still nothing special.

MoritzF (8453) - Bochum, GERMANY - APR 30, 2006
(bottle) Slightly hazy pale golden colour with a short but stable white foam. Yeasty and slightly honeyish malty aroma with citrus and shy hints of hops. Light bitter flavour, light to medium body, smooth carbonation. Dry malty taste with notes of honey; dry and yeasty finish with a rather sharp and unpleasant bitterness.

(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy, unfiltered golden beer with a fairly small head. Distinct bitterness on a malty background. Nice if nothing spectacular. 080801

Quite nice but unspectacular Zwickl. Yellow cloudy, small frothy head. Malty, notes of honey, dry, medium bitter finish.

pivnizub (8769) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - JUN 8, 2005
Bottle: Yellow, cloudy, thin lasting firm head; yeasty, sourish nose (citrus) with a tinge of maltiness; sweetish, yeasty beginning, quite smooth, creamy texture, sweetish, malty "middle", tart, slightly bitter finish; could be mixed up with a Weizen; not really satisfying......
