Draught at the brewery. Pale gold with a fine, thick head. Very bubbly. Rich malt, fruity aroma with grass, a bit of citrus and a hint of butter. Light body, fizzy. Nice malt flavors with a decent balance from the grassy hops. Mineral finish. Ok.

Can. A bright yellow gold that is a little scary. Only a touch of sweet malt on the nose. Butterscotch notes, a vigorously grainy and dry palate. Not the best on the this trip, perhaps the worst.

My Bottom Line:
Honeyed maltiness and slightly underdeveloped tea leaf hoppiness build a clean and drinkable Pilsener which fails to distinguish itself.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam shields the clear golden.
-The herbal, wooden hop aroma is evasive but present if you persist.
-The finish lacks that crisp hop bite I like in the style; this definitely is a malt-forward example.
-Although well-brewed, this one’s going to be quickly forgotten in a slew of other decent, similar Japanese Pilseners.

Can.

Medium white head. Yellow body. No real aroma. Light grassy taste with light notes of malt. Not much taste. No real aftertaste. Very, very boring. (0.35l draft.)
