7th December 2011 Cask at Pigs Ear. Hazy amber beer, little white head. Smooth but dry palate. Semi crisp. Slightly odd taste. Resinous hops. Tart orange with what tastes like lemongrass and spices. Initially a bit jarring but improves as the palate gets over the shock. Dry finish, mildly bitter aftertaste.

Cask@Pigs Ear Beer Festival 2011. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is soapy, a bit parfumed, some mild ashes and sweet malts as well. Also some floral notes. Flavour is caramel malts, wood, fruits, nutty bitterness and mild toasted notes. Rather interesting IPA, as it’s rather bitter, but at the same time it tastes very much like a pale porter.

Cask at the Wallington and Croydon BF, London. Pours a clear, rich gold with a small, white head. An odd character to this one. Kind of herbal. Some mild bitterness in the flavor, a bit of sugar, spices. Yeah, spices. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Mild sticky finish, some grainy sweetness, more spices. Alright. Odd, but alright. The beer actually grew on me quite a bit while drinking it.
