Cask (gravity) @ 27th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2010, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England

Clear medium to dark amber colour with a small, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, spicy, christmas spices, cinnamon, nutmeg. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, spicy, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20101201]

Cask (gravity dispense) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival, day 2 on 1 December 2010. Copper colour. A decent, but not especially memorable strong bitter with a rather traditional feel. The malt is slightly sweet and fruity. The hops are quite earthy with moderate bitterness. Not a lot else to say.

Pigs Ear. Clear brown beer, small off white head. Light dry palate, a little soft. Remarkable sweet malt with tastes like a pinch of Christmas spice. Semi dry finish. Nice.

Cask at the Pig’s Ear BF 2010. Dark amber pour with no head. Strong pumpkin and spice in the nose. Lightly sweet, certainly malty, faintly spicy flavor. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Autumn spices and more pumpkin in the finish, with further, understated maltiness. Decent.
