This brew gets it points because of the craftmanship that makes this stunning black beer with amazing lacing (actually, Amazing Lacing should’ve been it’s name). But the complexity wins by being very down-to-earth, and it ends up being another good stout. It lies there somewhere in between a Baltic Porter and a Dry Stout. Sweet first, bitterness later. Aftertaste is buttery and spicy and I get this WONDERFUL smell of grilled eggplants in tomato sauce, you know greek styled food! I’m not quite sure how this is done, but it wasn’t one of them one-time my palate fails me kinda thing. That aroma turns up every time this beer hits near room temperature. And I do suggest you serve this in a tulip or a shaker at app. 12-14 degrees Celsius. Man what a little masterpiece right here. Everlasting beauty!

Bottle:   Deep dark caramel, with a reddish brown hue.   Large foamy tannish head, nice lacing.   Not as dark as others, that’s for sure.   Soft roasted malts, slight cow pasture, earth.   Soft sweet maltiness up front, very pale roast.   Bitterness... on the order of a Pale Ale, or even lighter.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Does feel a bit chewy tho.   Lacks much bitterness, roast is minor, but thankfully no real pasture or sulpher.   Weak example, but thankfully not off-putting like so many others.

Botella en el Lúpulo Feroz. El amargor de la IPA totalmente enmascarado por el café. Muy fácil de beber, deja buen paladar.

Bottle. Black colour with a frothy and moderate creamy off-white head with good duration and nice lacing. Aroma is floral with hintes of black coffee and licorice. The flavor has notes of coffee, black chocolate, licorice, roasted malts and slightly ashes. Coffee final with a light bitterness.
