Shared bottle @Papsoe’s. Clear mid-brown body. A ring of beige bubbles on the surface. Rounded malt aroma with spicy herbal, light citrus-fruity tones. Fresh yeasty flavor, with som fine fruit tones. Slightly unfresh malt character. Well-bodied. Soft prickling carbonation. Lightly spiced and zesty endnotes. Pretty good, pretty unusual. [14.07.12]

0.65l bottle. This is a light cloudy amber-brown one with a medium sized light bubbly beige top. On the nose it’s light spicy and sweet with tones of wheat, oranges, dark caramel and a faint whiff of cardboard. Quite nice flavors. Not directly low on the bitterness, but it’s definitely not to hoppy and perhaps a tad on the sweet side. It’s soft to average on the carbonation and it has a light gliding-oily mouthfeel. I get sweet licorice in the taste along with a zesty-bitterness. Oily orange zest I beleive. Some mild spicy touches in the flavor also, and a mild wood- and dried fruit like dryness. Yeah, I find this interesting and I like how it taste. 07.10.2012

10cl sample (bottle) at Vulkan ølfestival. Slightly hazy amber with a small off-white head. Sugary aroma with fruits, malt and caramel. Quite sweet and sugary with some fruits and bitterness. Some citrus in the finish too. No quite my cup of tea, but fair enough. (2012-10-03)

Medium beige head. Clear dark amber body with carbonation. Roasty raisiny caramelly aroma with burnt sugar notes. Dry-sweet roasty fruity raisiny caramelly taste with spicy watermelon notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry wooden resiny grape juice aftertaste with wooden orangey notes. Lovely, and very interesting. Very unusual, too. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

Flaske på Cardinal: skal visstnok være en dubbel, men for bitter. Bitterappelsin kan bare anes. Ineressant, kanskje verdt å prøve på nytt.
