Editor’s note: formerly brewed at Fanø Bryghus.

English: Rich, velvety, chocolaty and soft malty body, balanced medium bitternes and sweetnes with a honey driven extra silky smooth malty finish. Think Fuller’s London Porter married to dark Grand Cru chocolate and genuine Fanø heather honey...

Mörkbrun med stort ljusbrunt skum. Gusher!! Doft och smak av lite choklad, kaffe men väldigt tunn och tråkig.

0.65 bottle. Very dark brown color and a big, tanned head. Strong aroma of roasted malts, wood, leather, barnyard, and some honey-like sweetness. Taste is sweet, a lot of roast, dark malts, only small hints of the promised honey. Full body, thick texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is medium long and bittersweet, again there isn’t much of the promised honey. Overall a mediocre beer, I honestly expected something more.

"brewed for them by Mercury Brewing in MA. Didn’t really get into this one as much as I thought I would. Could be on the older side. I like honey, and poter, but this seemed overly roasted and a bit too sweet. Not unpleasant, but not something I would have liked to drink a whole bottle of either."

Dark brown coloured beer with a medium to large creamy head. Aroma is roasted malt, honey and some coffee notes. Flavor is caramel, coffee that ends with a dry finish.

660ml bottle (shared by FatPhil, thanks). Dark brown color. Small size, brown head, stays. Sour, coffee, grainy, sweet aroma. Milky, coffee, roast, hazelnut skins, condensed milk gone wrong in taste.

Pours very sweet, yikes. In the glass, it’s sour. Dark brown, persisten tight tan head. Taste has some nice rich smooth roast, a bit of nuttiness. Musty finish. Anna gets it the other way round - hazelnuts in the aroma, and sourness in the taste. Finish soft and smooth, nice roast, nice bitterness. Would have been nice without the fucking sourness, but it is sour, so I have to rate it as it is, rather than what I’d prefer. So, it’s 2 out of 2 sub-par beers from Kissmeyer so far. At this price, I’m not going to bother with any more. Not so bad that between us we couldn’t finish the bottle.

Bottle:   Brown, on the darker side, thin sudsy beige head, spotty lacing.   Dark chocolate and powdery cocoa aroma.   Ashy up front, mild roast, moderate chocolate and cocoa.   Low hop version, with a slight lactose background.   Like a minor Milk/Sweet Stout.   Smooth, albeit moderate body and mouthfeel.   Light apple skin, pale roast, lactose, cocoa powder, and milk chocolate on the finish.   Pretty respectable overall.   Very slight hop presense on the backside.   Wished it were a bit richer/fuller on the tongue.   Otherwise decent.
