2.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 gnoff (6317) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - NOV 30, 2011
33 cl bottle at Rotary Pub, on November 30, 2011 BB 1 May 2012 Clear yellow color, big fluffy lasting white head. Applesauce, asparagus, tomato scent, what’s up with the wierd vegetable smell? Smell also has some greenish herbs. Sweet, herbal, a bit oppy, somewhat bitter taste. Also some tomato in the taste, else I’d give it a 7 there. Herbal bitter and a bit metallic aftertaste. Almost flat mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Not really something I’d buy again, feels not as my taste.
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 humlelala (684) - DENMARK - MAY 28, 2011
(10 cl on tap, CBF 2011) Pours a pale, straw yellow with little, white head that laces the glass. Aroma is a characteristic german malt with a strange fruity whiff of banana and other unidentified stuff. The texture is watery with a medium body, medium carbonation and a short, dry finish. The taste is malty, bready, metallic and not very harmonic. I couldn’t drink it all and it has nothing to do with me finding German beer boring and conventional. I just couldn’t stomach the combination of the German malt and .. something else.
