COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish.

English. A deep copper coloured IPA with a distinct bitternes. Dry, but quite malty body with a hint of caramel and a rich, fruity hop aroma and flavour. Think a maltier and bolder version of the new classic Kissmeyer Pale Ale!

lusikka (5341) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 12, 2012
Draught @ Ølfestival København 2012.
Pours a hazy amber colour with a small head. Aroma of caramel, gooseberry bush and hops. Flavour of caramel malts, gooseberry bush again, some hops and biscuit. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a rough malty finish. Alcohol comes through in the finish. Way too malty and stuffy. Also, this is an amber ale.

Big slightly coarse beige head rises out of the glass. Clear red-amber body with strong carbonation. Dusty wooden roasty aroma is very weak, with resiny notes. Dry-sweet resiny citric taste with metallic notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel with slight astringence. Dryish minty resiny roasty aftertaste with wooden spicy notes. It’s OK, but a bit harsh while the flavours are rather subdued. I doubt this is what they tried to do. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

Bottle at home. Light hazy reddish with a large beige head, nice lacings. Aroma medium+ malty (caramel, roasted), medium hoppy, more spicy than bitter. Flavor medium+ sweet, medium bitter, smooth. Medium body, sirupy. Nice beer, but missing hops.

on tap upstairs at purkmistr at the 2011 pilsen xmas beer markets. seemed very tame. flat cola appearance; aroma of old well; mouthful of snow texture; rather sweet and rubbery, ends cloying; seems like decent ingredients but doesn’t come together well

Pours dark copper with a large, lasting head. Nose shows nutty malt, caramel, golden syrup, soft spicy hops and brown sugar. Pretty rich and moreish. Similar rich flavours, lots of nutty malt and caramel followed by spicy hops and an assertive bitterness. Body seems a bit thick, and there’s not enough carbonation. Not too much of a hop presence, but enjoyable nonetheless.
