English: Brewed with home smoked malt, liqorice and honey. Medium bodied, dry, crisp lager background. Medium bitterness, aroma and flavour dominated by roasted malts, noble hops and a noticeable, but not overpowering smokiness. On tap @ Cardinal. Black body with a small, dense beige head. Aroma of hard roasted malt, liquorices and fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet, hard roasted malt, smoke and bacon. Feels soft and fruity, quite easy to drink and still pretty solid body. Wel balanced bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden. A very pleasant smoked beer.

Draft at beer temple. Dark brown with white head. Aroma of smoke, roasted malt, coffee. Same in flavor with dark fruit and raisins. Good beer although I’m not normally into smoked beer

(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20110820) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and light brown. Aroma had roasted malts, chocolate and mildly smoke. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were rosted malts, smoke, hops, coffee, mild sourness and medium bitterness. Aftertaste had smoke, liquorice and bitterness. Nice porter but I would have liked heavier smoke aroma.

Pours pitch black with a small foamy head. Massive roasty and smoky aroma with heavy notes of tar, licorice and bacon. Taste of smoked malts and ham. Notes of roastiness and tar. Finish is quite malty and slightly bitter. Great smoked beer and a quite well balanced porter.

11-MAR-2011, tap @Mikkeller Bar. Morten, where are you? This is a Morten beer. Black with a little thin grey head. Smoked ham on the nose. This is a perfect smoked beer. Perhaps the best I have had:-) All the smokey ingredients without being tooi much. Ends a bit thin, but apart from that, I love it. Very smooth.
