From tap at MikkellerBar. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is smooth smoked ham, dark roasted malt and slight toffee caramelish. Thick caramelish, dark roasted, ham/bacon to meat. Nice liqourice note swept into this. Lingering dark roasted and smoked ham meaty. Smooth roasted and meaty baconish finish. Liquid smoked bacon in a beerglass :)

Draft. A pitch black beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has strong notes of smoke as well as medium notes of bacon, tar, and wood. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of smoke combined with medium notes of tar and wood, leading to a dry smokey finish. The mouthfeel is smooth.

Very dark colour, tan head. This was a great experience, the beer has many different aroma and taste experiences, all very pleasant. They include malt, chocolate and smoke. (tap@schouskjelleren)

On tap at Schouskjelleren, Oslo. Dark brown colour. Aroma to die for; burnt wood, port, tar - hard to describe, but makes your mind wander. Velvety mouthfeel. Taste is like smoked port wine (if such a thing exists) with wood and licorice. Quite adorable.

Fad: Sortbrun øl med et lille skumhoved. Masser af røg i duften, både fra bål men også massiv bacon. Baconen er også dominerende i smagen der dog ikke måler sig med duften.

Draught@CPH BF 2011. Quite close to pitch black colour, small head. Aroma is smoked wet wood, some ashes, mild rtoasted notes, liquorice and mild alcohol as well. Flavour is quite similar, with also some nice caramel and wooden notes. Mild notes of rye in the finish as well.
