Tap at Øl Festival, Copenhagen, 2011: Brown with beige head. Gentle aromas of coffee and campfire. Sweet malt flavor with dark roasted tones of toffee, coffee and smoke. The smoke is balanced very clean and smooth with a medium hoppy bitterness. Fine drinkabillity. Dry, medium bitter end with notes of licorice and chocolate.

From tap @Bishops Arms, København. Pours an opaque dark brown to near black, topped by a low tanned head. Ashy and smokey, heavily roasted malt aroma. A note of creamed caramel. Medium sweet malt body. Roast, smoke, licorice and bitter coffe tones. Noticable hop bitterness. Medium full, softly carbonated. Roasty, tarry and smokey endnotes. A powerfull one, not very moreish.

On tap, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Black colour, big beige head. Strong aroma of smoked meat / bacon, also roasty notes. The flavour has also strong smokey notes, and moderate roasty notes. A bit too much "smoked meat" for my taste. Not very sweet. A "German Rauchbier meets Baltic Porter"-experience.

Draught at the Danish Beer Festival 2011. Roasted aroma with clear smoked notes. Medium bodied and smooth. Semi dry with medium bitterness. I could really have liked this without the smokiness.

Half pint at Cardinal’s "Onsdag i Annen". Pours pitch black with big frothy head. Smells of smoked/cured meats and a dominant smokey flavor with some roasted malts to back it up. Some bacon in here as well. Leans more towards a ’rauchbier’ than a smoked baltic porter in my book. The beer is however very fresh (brewed about a month ago) and might age well.
