COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: Heavily hopped with 50 % US and 50 % NZ hops, for a dry, clean and intensely fruity DIPA. The explosion of citrus, passion fruit, peach and apricot flavors wraps the intense hop bitternes in a highly seductive way. Think ’This is my idea of the ideal fruit bowl!’

5000 (6239) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAY 19, 2013
Bottle:   Dark straw, dirty in color, thin frothy off-white head, spotty lacing.   Sweaty hoppy aroma, a little dank and musty.   Has a sweet aspect to it that is like Pez or Pixie Stix.   Pretty familiar with this with a lot of Danish IPA or IIPA examples.   Rather earthy on the tongue, soft sweetness, a little candyish, not all that bitter.   Seems very artificial on the tongue, soft bitterness, slight rind/pith, but with that fake Pixie Stix, or Pex like candy sweetness... it kills it.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   How does it finish?   At this point, who gives a sh*t.   Brewed in the USA.   Odd, thought we would have known better by now.   You can do better Ipswich!

2013-04-12. Crisp dark orange body with a nice off-white head and lace. 3++ Interesting aroma, caramel toasty malt, decent amount of alcohol. Flavour is similar, good amount of bitterness, caramel toasted malt. Very light citrus notes, warming alcohol lingers in the finish. Average plus bodied palate. Solid, but a bit overly boozy. Thanks to hogtownharry. Deep amber pour. The nose is pretty peppery and spicy. There’s a bit of nice fruitiness and a bit of light peppery character. Some light mintiness and a touch of sweet fruit. Fairly assertive bitterness and a lovely lingering finish. A bit of spice.
