3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 larsga (5324) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 31, 2012
Medium beige head. Slightly hazy amber body. Roasty malty aroma
with caramelly notes. Dry-sweet caramelly dusty taste with
roasty grainy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish
caramelly chocolatey aftertaste with grainy dusty earthy notes.
Nice, drinkable, and understated. More of a brown ale than a pale
ale, if you ask me. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 OleR (4247) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 5, 2013
Bottle from Vinmonopolet Nettbutikk. Cloudy amber colored. Low greyish-blond head. Nutty, marzipan-like aroma. A distant whiff of fruity hops. Medium body strength. Strange sweet flavor, like artificial sweetener. Malt-accented, with peppery caramel and nuts. Restrained fruity bitterness. Malty finish with a vague fruity bitterness. A decent beverage, but not a (West Coast) Pale Ale in my book.
