2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Oakes (10215) - Gibsons, - MAY 23, 2005
Straw coloured with a big, weak head. Hoppy (grass, apple skins - not acetaldehyde) aroma with hints of strawlike pale malt. Flavour is doughy sweet, even a bit floury, with light spice and stale bread in the background. A little bland, a little dirty.

Sampled at Logan’s loft during GABF RateBeer party 2005. Wow, a retired bad beer to rate. Hazy yellow pee color. Hugh head with big bubbles. Minimal soapy grain aroma. Flavor (if you’ll call it that) was grassy grain, rice, general light beer flavor. Watery though hints of light bitterness at the end. What a novelty.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Murphy (1759) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - OCT 3, 2005
Nice head, body is almost cleay yellow. Aroma is apple cider, rice. Taste is mainly a slightly sweet sour apple. Dry, ricey, underwhelming finish. Strange stuff.

Thanks to IslandHaole for this. Pours an almost limey gold, with aroma of malt, hopcit, slight thiols. Tastes hopcity, with some malty sweetness at the finish and a touch of lemongrass. Smooth palate.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 IslandHaole (1060) - Yokosuka-Shi, Kanagawa-Ken, JAPAN - NOV 26, 2004
A light yellow/straw colored brew, small white head. The hop aroma is slightly floral, slightly herbaceous, mild sweet malt scents too. I like the hopping in this beer, their is just enough sweetness to balance it but the combination of hops makes this quite tasty. Not as fizzy as most other Japanese Pilseners, another plus in my book.
