COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
1712-2012, brewed for their 300th anniversary. Kitzmann 300 - Ein süffiges, fruchtiges Rotbier mit feuriger Farbe und einem sahnig-feinem Schaum, im Geruch an frische Waldbeeren erinnernd. Auf der Zunge eine brillante, anregende Perlage entfaltend, weich im Trunk, gefolgt von feinsten Malznuancen und einer belebenden, leicht herben Fruchtigkeit, die dezent und rund ausklingt. From bottle. Malty aroma of burnt grains and stale bread, hops are green leaf vegetables and old orange juicy. Medium body, sour, acidic, starchy and rough with a flavor / aroma impression of potato chips. Bad shape.

Bamberg jolly day 2 25/01/2014. Tap shared at the brewery tap. Reddish amber in colour with a big off-white fluffy head, big lace. Aroma is fresh raisin / berry, nutty caramel and grassy hop. Flavour is mineral, nice caramel and nutty malt character. Nice clean ferment. Berry finish. Very tasty

On tap. Clear amber body, long lasting off-white head. Aroma of toast and some caramel with floral and fruity hops. Taste of toast, caramel and orange with some grassy hops. A bit watery body, but it’s still nice.

Bamberg Bash Day 2. Tap at the brewpub. Clear amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Smooth malt, semi sweet. Light floralness and berry fruits. Touch of violets. Light finish. Tasty and interesting.

Day 2 of the post Xmas Bamberg Jolly, tap at the brewery tap - Erlangen, 25/01/14. Clear amber with a moderate of white head. Nose is toffee, malty, brown sugars, light hop notes. Taste comprises toffee, bready malts, earthy, brown sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Ok.

Draught at the brewpub. Golden/amber beer with a decent offwhite head. Hazelnut aroma, caramel, brown sugar, biscuits, grassy, floral, some herbal notes. Malty nutty aroma, fruity, caramel, cereal, roasted notes, hop notes, some herbal notes.

On tap at the brewery. Clear mid brown. Lasting beige head. Unusual for here. Malty. Dry red malty beer. Bit of burnt malt on aroma. Very clean. Characterful. Quite nice.

Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass a bit darker than exspected, nice head. Starts not as mild as exspected, fine malty-dry with some roasty notes. Modest bitter. Finish mild but not washy, fine spicy. Quite drinkable. Not bad!
