Clear medium yellow amber color with a average to large frothy good lacing mostly lasting white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, grain, earth, sweet, bread. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. duff (5402), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Feb 15, 2007 Bottle. Quite thin. Typical clean German beer, with some sweetish bready malt notes, and some grassy hops. Could have done with more depth of flavour, finishes short. wastl (113), Germany Jan 9, 2007 Drunk at the Erlanger Bergkirchweih which it is brewed for. Clear, light gold colour. Mostly hops aroma. One of my preferred Festbiere. diabel (1188), Aarschot, Belgium Sep 19, 2006 Bottle at LCRBM 2, Kulminator, Antwerp, Belgium Clear, orange-yellow body. Aroma of hops. Lightly bitter, quite watery flavour. Quickly to forget.
