3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Westkyoto77 (135) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 2, 2013
On tap at Kyoto Ji-beer Festa. Poured a beautiful pale yellow, with a fairy-floss creamy white head. Fruity nose, some spice, citrus and coriander. Quite refreshing, though the sharpish aftertaste was a bit of a letdown. Not far off a decent Belgian witbier.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 KansaiBeerLvrs (230) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JAN 16, 2013
It poured a cloudy golden white but the flavor is like a bitter beer. After reading the commercial description I can totally pick up on the yuzu & coriander. I guess the yuzu gives it that zest & it seems refreshing. It is interesting but I think it probably doesn’t resemble what they drank in ancient Egypt... worth a try though, decent.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 beardfear (87) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JUN 18, 2011
A beer brewed by "Egyptian archaeologists and plant geneticists" at Kyoto and Waseda Universities. Golden pour. -1 for the non-existent head, +1 for the fine suspended sediment. Aroma of passionfruit nectar, fruity hops, coriander, caramel and some heavy ginger. Dry, sweet and slightly sour palate. Unlike anything I’ve tried before.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Tim Webb (196) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - SEP 29, 2010
On draught at the brewpub. Pretty much like Hoegaarden in one of its previous incarnations. Obvious coriander in equally obvious wheat.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy yellow, rich head. Citric coriander aroma. Mid-dry with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Light flavoured, yet very refreshing. Uncomplicated, but highly quaffable and pleasant.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 KyotoLefty (4727) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAY 6, 2009
On tap at the brewpub. Fruity witbier aroma with spices and big citrus. Retrained fruitiness, with a good underlying dryness and a dry finish. Clean, crisp wheat malt flavor that is not at all cloying. Good stuff. Very refreshing. Probably the best of their beers.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Capa (1905) - Manama, BAHRAIN - JAN 21, 2009
Hazy golden with a short lived white head. Wheat, bright fruits, light malts, yuzu, and spices. Full, smooth body. Coriander, wheat, light malts, and a refreshing fruit quality. Nothing amazing, but easy to drink and refreshing. Has a slightly sour finish.
